What I Wished Everyone Knew About Myself
My family had already thought of an exceptional name before I was born to call their child and prayed endlessly for their last child to come to this world. Through God, their prayers have been answered. My parents were so overjoyed to know that a baby girl was coming. They already called me "Janea LLana Grace" as my parents looked at me as I leaned into their arms. That was how my lovely and unique name came into existence.
Ever since I was still a toddler, I always loved dancing and singing. I was intrigued by the elegance of my voice and my body moves. I still remember how my mother dances in front of me and how my father lullabies me before I sleep. I truly believe that I inherited from my parents these extraordinary talents.
My enthusiasm and admiration for singing and dancing are growing more and more as I grow up. I entered some singing and dancing competitions thanks to my parents who were always there by my side and to my teachers who taught me with the best they could serve back then when I was in grade school. Due to my admiration for singing, I tried playing the ukulele and until now, I'm still not good at it, but every day, I can see that I'm improving.
I love listening to music. Yes, I'm a music lover. Music is my comfort zone. Every time I study, shower, sleep, there's always music besides me. Every time I have problems, music is always there to comfort me.
I'm an introvert person. I prefer staying at home, watching dramas and movies, chilling, rather than socializing with my family and friends. And I think it's because I'm always insecure with myself. While many people expect a lot from me, in any circumstance I will always do my utmost, because I am undeniably passionate and motivated by my ambitions. I thrive on obstacles and set goals for myself intermittently so that I can aspire and move forward with something. Although, I still have a problem with my confidence and because of this, I'm still actively looking for ways to do better and achieve excellence.
In life, my ambition is to become a real, honest, and loyal individual and to make my family proud and happy. One of my aspirations is to be a good doctor someday, too. When my family is frustrated with something, they mostly tell me how miserable and inadequate they are. As a result, one day I am more driven to become a successful person, even though the path is long, complicated, and exhausting, I will still remind myself that I can do it. I believe what Bear Bryant said, “Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don’t quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don’t quit until you reach it. Never quit."
